Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has published its Recovery and Renewal Plan which sets out its vision of how it will rebuild Berkshire’s economy in the wake of COVID-19. Alongside a snapshot of the economic fallout of COVID-19, the Recovery and Renewal Plan outlines three economic priorities for Berkshire; connection, collaboration and skills.
Under each of these priorities, the Plan details the investments being made in community and digital infrastructure, support and funding for businesses, as well as targeted education, skills and careers programmes. The Plan also addresses how Berkshire will play its part in delivering a ‘net zero’ carbon economy for the UK by 2050 and how it will embrace the social and cultural diversity assets in Berkshire, ensuring no one is left behind as we build back a better Berkshire economy.
