Designing for the future is about more than predicting what it looks like. It’s about having the know-how and the expertise to turn predictions into projects that deliver results and meet ever-changing needs. That’s what we do every day: for our clients, for their customers and for the sustainable future of our business and the world we operate in.
We are SNC-Lavalin, and we are experts at mastering complexity.
Using our industry know-how and leading resources, we create and deliver predictable outcomes for an unpredictable world. How do we do it? By thinking – and working – differently. With offices around the world, we connect people, technology and data to shape the future of our industry and the world around us. It’s how we generate the knowledge, the ingenuity and the drive to meet so many of today’s most pressing challenges – from population growth and increasing transportation needs, to climate change. And because we cover everything from blueprint to delivery, across the entire lifespan of a project, you can count on us for a client experience that is smoother, smarter and more efficient. At SNC-Lavalin, we’re not just embracing change – we’re driving it.
Atkins and Faithful+Gould, members of the SNC-Lavalin Group, have after 28 years relocated one of their largest South East offices from Eynsham into Oxford city centre. This will see 60 of Atkins and Faithful+Gould’s architects, engineers, cost consultants and project managers move to a new home at ‘One St Aldates’, part of the Town Hall building, in the centre of Oxford.
Alan Jarvie, Sector Director at Atkins, said: “This move will give our staff the flexibility to work from both home and the office, with agile working desks available when people need it. With several major projects ongoing in the area, including Oxford Station Masterplan and East West Rail, it is essential that our teams remain located at the heart of the city close to our clients.”
Jenny Beilby, Regional Director at Faithful+Gould, said: “This move reinforces our commitment to having a strong presence in Oxford. We are building on our current projects here and want our people to remain at the heart of the city’s growth and resilience, helping clients to accelerate delivery and connect with communities across the region.”
The new office opened on 14 December 2020 and will see Atkins and Faithful+Gould utilising the latest digital technology to improve outcomes for clients whilst building on a strong portfolio of work in the area including Oxfordshire County Council, Oxford City Council and the University of Oxford.
