Established in 1983, Oberlanders is a multi-award-winning architectural practice.
Our team includes more than 70 staff, drawn from 17 nationalities, who are highly capable, experienced and passionate about what they do.
We work from 6 studios across the UK including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Oxford as well as two offices in the Scottish Highlands (Ardgay and Inverness) and a South of Scotland office in Galashiels.
Our varied portfolio includes new build and refurbishment projects, in both the public and private sectors, including science & research, healthcare, residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, retail, civic and community. We have specialist expertise in interior design, laboratory planning, sustainability, wellbeing, digital practice, 3D visualisation and health & safety (CDM).
We have extensive experience of working in a wide variety of procurement forms, including framework commissions for local and national public authorities and for large scale, national contractors and developer clients.
Collaboration – both nationally and internationally – is at the heart of our approach. We are members of the IDeA Network, a global collective of Architects. Members have a shared philosophy and wide-ranging expertise, that enables us to deliver international best practice and make a positive difference to the way people interact with places and engage with the experiences within them.
Our purpose, vision and values underpins everything we do.
Our purpose = give form to our client’s values. We are committed to contextual design solutions which are technically competent, sustainable and deliverable. Good design management is integral to our approach, enabling us to deliver the most complex of projects, on time and on budget.
Our vision = shape architecture for all. We handle a broad variety of projects, from large scale strategic masterplans to new buildings both large and small as well as inspirational community projects that are transforming urban and rural communities.
Our values = listen, create and deliver. We work collaboratively with clients, engineers and others, to enhance our projects through the multi-discipline integration of design and construction.
